Brian Prater, MS, is an Associate Professional Counselor with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Divine Mercy University School of Counseling.
Brian’s therapeutic approach is trauma-informed and holistic, as the physical, psychological, and spiritual are intrinsically interconnected. His treatment modalities include parts work, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Family Systems Therapy (for couples and families), and Gottman Therapy (for couples and families). At the client’s request, Brian will also integrate spirituality from a Roman Catholic perspective. Most often, he does this using Ignatian spiritual exercises, the systematic theology of St. Thomas Aquinas (Thomism), and the Theology of the Body of Pope St. John Paul II. Brian accompanies his clients at their own pace as they grow in wellness in all areas of their life.
